A Worthwhile Travel Toy

travel-doodles-featureI’m not much of a fan of toys and books aimed at traveling kids. They seem either too babyish or too specific and most are probably not designed by a person who has ever traveled with children. I recently saw a travel coloring book with pictures of the Eiffel Tower and Yosemite Falls that looked so complex that it would put off Michelangelo. Then I found the Travel Doodles wipe-off cards from Osborne.

The cards cover a variety of topics and include puzzles as well as drawing and word games. usborne-wipe-off-100-thingsI also liked the 100 Things for Little Children to do on a Trip set of cards.  There are enough cards in a box that you could throw a few in a bag with the pen and get an hours worth of distraction for your small one and still have a pile left at home for your next trip. They also make animal and monster sets of cards for your small traveling animals and monsters.
