My Go-To Dry Bag

I never leave home without dry bags.  Whether traveling far or near, we are seldom away from water.  And where there is water, I am going in on some manner of craft.  Not wanting camera gear, phones, or electronic car keys to be destroyed if they fall in, I’ve found dry bags to be a must.

I have used a number of different brands over the years, but lately I am smitten with Big River’s dry bags – specifically, the Sea to Summit linesea-to-summit-dry-bag3

Big River makes these bags in a variety of sizes – from the 3 liter personal size to the 13 liter family wagon – and their ultralight construction belies the fact that they really do keep things dry – and I know: I’ve submerged them several times. The great part? They pack down flat and weigh next to nothing.

To be sure, Big River’s are not the cheapest dry bags out there, but their design is superior – and they give clumsy folks (like me) some peace of mind when taking expensive electronics on aqua adventures.
